SportsBetting.com.au Reviews & Ratings Australia 2024
Is SportsBetting.com.au Reliable & Secure?
SportsBetting.com.au AU has been operating as an online bookmaker since 1998, making it one of Australia’s oldest online bookies. It’s a Northern Territory licenced bookmaker, proudly Australian owned and operated and has a great reputation for sports betting. We’ll be testing that reputation with our SportsBetting.com.au reviews, where we’ll be making sure we answer all of your potential questions, including is SportsBetting.com.au reliable and secure?
Their motto is “No Gimmicks. Just great fixed odds betting.” And we think they deliver on that, giving you a solid sports experience with competitive odds, especially on racing. Now, read on for more details, as we use our SportsBetting.com.au ratings to show you just what we think of SportsBetting.com.au AU!
SportsBetting.com.au: Pros & Cons
- Great odds pricing throughout, regularly better than most bookmakers
- Excellent bookmaker for horse racing, local and international races all covered
- Good range of other sports covered
- Excellent range of available horse racing betting markets available
- Deliberately old-school design, refreshingly simple!
- As part of the no gimmicks rule, SportsBetting.com.AU offers no sign up or deposit bonuses
Putting it simply, if you’re looking for deposit bonuses and sign up bonuses then we’re sorry but SportsBetting.com.au AU really isn’t going to be for you! However, this is a deliberate thing, an extension of their “No Gimmicks” policy. In fact, as they say on their promotions page, “Sportsbetting.com.au primarily focuses on giving you great fixed odds and premium customer service.”
So, we’re going to have to mark them down somewhat on their SportsBetting.com.au ratings for their bonus offers just because they fail to offer any sign up bonuses. But all is not lost for this SportsBetting.com.au reviews section because they do offer promotions for punters once they have joined. We particularly like the SportsBetting.com.au AU Surge that gives you better odds when you surge your bet on the bet slip. But there’s also the Bonus Back for Second or Third promotion on horses and Runner Up Refund for the dogs, where a non-winner still gets you your stake back. They offer a Protest Payout promotion that still pays your winner if there’s a protest on the race that demotes your horse.

The look of SportsBetting.com.au AU is distinctly old-school, tying into the vibe of being gimmick free, simple to use, and good old fashioned value for your betting. And even though we didn’t much care for the mix of bright orange, red, and black at the site, when it comes to your SportsBetting.com.au ratings, the look is second to the overall usability of the site; because that’s the really important thing we look for in our SportsBetting.com.au reviews.
What it lacks in looks, it more than makes up for in delivering a perfect, intuitive website where everything is laid out just right, where putting a bet on is easily done in a handful of clicks, where the gimmick free idea totally improves the whole betting experience.
Clear and concise, banking, account details, and (nearly) everything else you could need is right there on the top menu line (we’ll tell you about the lack of help in the SportsBetting.com reviews customer services section). Orange it might be, but we’ll give that a pass and just say it’s a fabulously intuitive and clear betting site.

When we look at payments for our SportsBetting.com.au reviews, we always want to see plenty of options, free deposits and withdrawals, and all done nice and fast. The great news here with SportsBetting.com.au AU is that things are nice and fast and fee free. The bad news is that there are limited deposit options and even fewer withdrawal options.
You have four deposit choices; Visa or MasterCard, POLi, BPAY, and EFT (electronic fund transfer or bank transfer). Unfortunately, when it comes to withdrawals, the only choice is withdrawal to your card or a bank transfer.
On the plus side, card and POLi deposits are instant; BPAY and EFT take 1-2 business days, whilst withdrawals are the standard 1-2 business days, with no minimum withdrawal amount. And it’s pleasing to see that, when we’re asking is SportsBetting.com.au secure? we’re happy to tell you that the site requires credit card verification before you’ll be able to withdraw, always reassuring.
SportsBetting.com.au AU tells us that they’re a bookie that ‘primarily focuses on giving you great fixed odds and premium customer service,’ but we found that, in our SportsBetting.com.au reviews, although customer service is good, it’s not excellent.
Because when we award our customer service SportsBetting.com.au ratings, we want to see multiple ways to get in touch, as fast as possible, and free! Yes, SportsBetting.com.au AU offers plenty of ways to get in touch, including email, Live Chat, telephone, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, and even good old fashioned mail. But unfortunately the support team isn’t available 24/7, only being available between 8:00am – 10:30pm every day, and the phone calls are charged at local rates. However, when they are available, they are super-fast at getting back to you over Live Chat or email.
Another strange thing is a lack of help or FAQ pages, something we think would only add to the SportsBetting.com.au AU customer service and that’s a real minus for our SportsBetting.com.au ratings.

Any bookie that we like and recommend has to give the answer of a resounding yes when we ask is SportsBetting.com.au reliable and is SportsBetting.com.au secure? And the answer is yes, as SportsBetting.com.au pty ltd is licensed and regulated by NT Government of Australia, in the Northern Territory and, for South Australian residents, their gambling operations are governed by the South Australian Gambling Codes of Practice.
We’re also pleased to see that SportingBet.com.au is very good with their verification process when it comes to looking after your money, requiring a full verification through GreenID by VixVerify. However, we always look for more than that. And although their webpages are https secure pages, we’d have liked to have seen more information in their about pages to tell us about the encryption used.
Rewards & Loyalty Program
Rewards and loyalty programs can be great, but all too often they make it difficult and expensive to get hold of the rewards. SportsBetting.com.au AU does things differently, with an automatic daily bonus rewards scheme. After just a few bets, you’re enrolled in the scheme and from then onwards any bets placed on racing markets qualify for the automatic bonus bet.
As far as how much you earn, you’ll get bonus bet credits at 2% of your bets. So $100 of betting gets you $2 of bonus credit. And the only restrictions to using those bonus bets are that they have to be racing bets with odds greater than 1.50.
We think this is a great way of doing things – automatically crediting your account with bonuses for every bet you make. Now that’s a way to score big on SportsBetting.com.au ratings here!

As you’ve seen with our SportsBetting.com.au reviews breakdown that it’s a very good bookmaker. It’s got a lot of things going for it, with an excellent selection of racing betting and a good selection of other sports betting. And, just like they promise, SportsBetting.com.au really does regularly offer you some of the best odds around with horse racing, greyhounds, and harness racing. IN fact, they’ll regularly have a couple of best-priced horses and dogs in most races. So when it comes to looking for the best ways to max your winnings, it’s always worth taking a look at SportsBetting.com.au!
It also offers great customer service and, although we still aren’t keen on the orange, a wonderfully intuitive and easy to use site.
So, when you’re looking for a new bookie for your horse racing bets, our SportBetting.com.au ratings should tell you that they’re well worth taking a punt on!
