Bud Booth Mares’ Chase betting tips: Drinks Interval can quench your thirst for a winner at Market Rasen

Betting Tips · -

The Bud Booth Mares’ Chase betting tips on Horsebetting.com for the 3m Listed feature race at Market Rasen on Thursday, 8 November say Drinks Interval is the one to be on for Colin Tizzard. Casablanca Mix, meanwhile, represents champion trainer Nicky Henderson and is feared most stepping up in trip and if coming on for her last run. Actinpieces represents an each-way alternative if treated on the pick of her form, so could make the frame instead of Rons Dream. As she’s been something of a revelation since switching to fences, she is taken to make the step up in class and land the spoils.

The six-year-old daughter of King’s Theatre is three from four over the larger obstacles and has won her last two coming into this. Drinks Interval has always shaped like a stayer and ran some solid races in defeat over hurdles at the back end of last season following a break.

She was beaten just 1 1/4 lengths off joint top weight in a Kempton mares’ handicap and then far from disgraced when a nearest at the finish two-length fourth to Naranja in the Seafield Trophy at Ayr. As she was giving 2lb to the winner and more weight away to the second and third home, this was a solid effort.

Although then not so good when quickly turned out at Uttoxeter, Drinks Interval again ran with real credit when again beaten just 1 1/4 lengths by Final Reminder at Aintree attempting to give her 12lb. Connections then decided to go chasing and she won on debut at Newton Abbot over 2m 5f when out-battling The Unit, who was by far the superior hurdler.

While the form in a rematch over the same course and distance was reversed, the going was good to firm that day and Drinks Interval lost little in defeat. She was then stepped up to the roughly 3m trip of this back at Uttoxeter and turned over Sky Pirate when a comfortable 4 1/2 lengths winner.

Drinks Interval then bolted up by 11 lengths on good to soft ground at Chepstow last month where her experience over fences proved key. There were more lauded sorts making their chasing bows here, including Harry Fry inmate Minella Awards, who was a further 17 lengths behind in third.

While this demands more and the assessor has had his say, Drinks Interval has demonstrated progressive form in this sphere. Her mark of 147 is the highest rating in this small but select field of five, yet that still may underestimate her ability. It’s for that reason she heads our 2018 Bud Booth Mares’ Chase betting tips.Casablanca Mix respected, but needs to improveChampion trainer Nicky Henderson is represented by Casablanca Mix, who has just 2lb to find on Drinks Interval according to official figures. That makes her the obvious danger under an eye-catching jockey booking if bouncing back from a disappointing reappearance run and now stepping markedly up in trip.

The six-year-old has won just one of her five starts over fences when bolting up by 12 lengths at Huntingdon 12 months ago, having previously chased the highly-regarded Willoughby Court home over the same course and distance. Casablanca Mix jumped into the lead three out and went readily clear in between the last two fences.

Given the runner-up Theatre Territory has run a string of solid races in defeat since, including when third in the Grade 3 Topham Chase over the Grand National fences last time out, it gives the form a solid look. Casablanca Mix would have followed-up herself when next in action at Exeter, but took a tumble at the last in a commanding seven-length lead.

That was that for her novice season over fences, but she returned to action at Kempton over 2m 2f 18 days ago when sent off a heavily-backed 11/10 favourite. Casablanca Mix took a keen hold under Nico De Boinville and was hard pressed from three out before pecking badly on landing at the last and losing all chance.

Although beaten 10 lengths by Copain De Classe, the winner has hardly done wonders for advertising the form when beaten 23 lengths into fourth in a Listed handicap chase at Wetherby over the weekend. If Casablanca Mix can cut out errors under pressure and come on for her run, then it gives her every chance – provided she gets the trip.

This is half-a-mile or so further than she’s ever raced over, and there’s a change of pilot as the in-form Daryl Jacob takes the ride. With Casablanca Mix totally unexposed at the trip, but her breeding suggests it won’t be a problem, she is feared most given her yard and jockey are still among the winners.Actinpieces an each-way alternativeWith only five going to post, the each-way terms on the race are only two places. If you’re seeking an alternative to back, then the preference is for Actinpieces who has claims on the pick of her form despite finishing last in this race two years ago.

That does not tell the whole story about the Pam Sly trained seven-year-old, who was eased in the closing stages when it was clear she couldn’t win. Actinpieces was eighth to Limini in the inaugural Dawn Run Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the 2016 Cheltenham Festival, and won twice in her novice campaign over fences.

There was lots to like about the way she rallied and stayed on to finish a three-quarters of a length fourth to Get On The Yager in the Grade 3 Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase at Wetherby last Christmas. Although then put 6lb for winning her next start at Ludlow, Actinpieces ran a huge race off 145 and top weight to be fifth to Missed Approach in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival back in March.

It was a massive effort under a welter burden and there were excuses for her next time out at Uttoxeter when hampered early on. While Actinpieces then took a tumble on her return to action at Fakenham, the assessor has cut her some further slack to a mark of 142 which puts her third best in this line-up on official figures.

As she doesn’t give weight all-round here like Rons Dream and has a 3m win on good ground, unlike that rival, it’s Actinpieces who looks the one most likely to pick up the pieces if one or other of the market principals doesn’t perform. She is therefore an each-way alternative to consider, according to our 2018 Bud Booth Mares’ Chase betting tips.Your Next Bet
