The 2018 Cheveley Park Stakes betting tips on offer at Horsebetting.com say Pretty Pollyanna is a worthy favourite for victory in this 6f Group 1 for juvenile fillies. Signora Cabello is the obvious danger, while So Perfect also has placed form at the highest level. That makes the latter the pick of the Aidan O’Brien trio in this and worth an each-way wager. Further details are in our 2018 Cheveley Park Stakes betting tips preview.Pretty Pollyanna a worthy favourite for Cheveley ParkTrainer Michael Bell looks to have a star in the making on his hands in Pretty Pollyanna, who has been all the rage for the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes for juvenile fillies since scoring at the highest level in France last time out. There are few, if any holes in her progressive profile, so she’s impossible to oppose for this 6f contest on Cambridgeshire day at Newmarket this Saturday (14:25).
The daughter of Oasis Dream and a Shamardal mare has won three of her four starts in the manner of a seriously hot prospect. After scoring on debut in a Yarmouth maiden, Pretty Pollyanna was far from disgraced when fifth on her first group outing at Royal Ascot when nearest at the finish and beaten only a couple of lengths in the Albany Stakes.
Connections were fully vindicated by their decision to pitch her into elite company as she scored next time up here at headquarters in the Group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes, albeit in unusual circumstances. Pretty Pollyanna was about the only filly not encountering trouble in-running on the July course as she raced wide in the hands of Silvestre De Sousa.
Although scoring by seven lengths, the chaos she avoided means the form is questionable. There was no doubting Pretty Pollyanna last time out in France, however, where she again raced prominently and won a sustained duel with the re-opposing Signora Cabello in the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville getting the better of her in the final 70 yards.
That three-quarters of a length victory has earned Pretty Pollyanna an official rating of 117 – the highest in this 11-strong line-up. The French form sets a clear standard here and Signora Cabello apart, the remainder of the field has 9lb and upwards to find on their figures.
Off level weights, it makes Pretty Pollyanna impossible to oppose on all known form and she’s already a best-price 10/1 favourite for next year’s 1000 Guineas. She is fully expected to live up to the justified hype surrounding her and is therefore readily put up as our main bet in these 2018 Cheveley Park Stakes betting tips.Signora Cabello the obvious dangerThe only two-year-old filly anywhere near Pretty Pollyanna on ratings is the John Quinn trained Signora Cabello, who chased Bell’s emerging star home in the Prix Morny last time out. Prior to that defeat, the daughter of Camacho had landed a four-timer after finishing fourth on debut at Beverley.
Wins at Bath and York set up a crack the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes over the flying 5f at Royal Ascot where Oisin Murphy timed her run to perfection and led near the finish. Although the re-opposing Gossamer Wings also came with a late strong run, Signora Cabello held that rival by a short-head.
While that one has left the form behind, Signora Cabello made it four wins in a row when scoring again on her penultimate start in a Group 2 across the Channel at Maisons-Laffitte. This was her first outing for new owners Phoenix Thoroughbreds and she was far from disgraced when runner-up in France at the highest level when last in action.
There’s 2lb for Signora Cabello to find on official ratings and just three-quarters of a length in distance terms to reverse the Prix Morny form. Although that makes her the one most likely to upset the red-hot jolly under Frankie Dettori, a safer option is to take Pretty Pollyanna and Signora Cabello as a straight forecast and that’s what we recommend. So Perfect an each-way shoutBeyond the first two in the betting, there is likely to be lively each-way interest as punters seek a third filly to make the frame. Aidan O’Brien saddles three in search of prize money here, and a strong case can be made for So Perfect who, like Signora Cabello, has placed at the highest level.
Although only winning two of her five starts, the daughter of Scat Daddy was just three-quarters of a length behind Signora Cabello when fourth in the Queen Mary. So Perfect then came out and won her next assignment, beating subsequent Group 1 heroine Skitter Scatter by half-a-length when heading her close home in a 6f Group 3 at The Curragh.
So Perfect was then far from disgraced when a half-a-length runner-up to Advertise in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes over the same course and distance. With such strong juvenile form in the book, she should be be able to make presence felt on what is just her second British start.
Stablemate Fairyland also has claims of a place, but we’ve taken So Perfect over her in our 2018 Cheveley Park Stakes betting tips because of the weak-looking juvenile Group 2 victory that one had to graft for at York last time out. There’s simply more to like about So Perfect than most of the others here, so she’s your best each-way bet.Your Next Bet
