Horsebetting.com experts provide 2018 Galtres Stakes betting tips and say Lah Ti Dar can make her class tell to land the Listed contest for fillies and mares following a spell on the sidelines. Trainer Luca Cumani is the most successful in the race, so his Alwaysandforever rates the main danger 1m 4f test on day two of the York Ebor Festival; Thursday, 23 August. What A Home has some solid form, so appeals as the each-way value. This John Gosden trained daughter of Dubawi created a huge impression when landing a 14-runner maiden at Newbury back in April by six lengths.

After tracking the leaders travelling powerfully, she was produced to take up the running at the furlong marker by jockey Frankie Dettori and stretched effortlessly clear to score with any amount in hand. Lah Ti Dar then took the step up into Listed company in her stride when landing the Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket.

She again raced sweetly before powering clear inside the last to slam Expressly by 3 1/4 lengths. It was a performance which marked her out as a tremendous top-notch prospect that was bound for Group 1 glory, and Lah Ti Dar was installed at the head of the ante post betting for the Epsom Oaks on the back of that striking performance, but injury ruled her out of the fillies’ Classic.

Gosden has been in no rush to get her back on track and she now has an absence of 109 days to come. That may be a concern for some, but an official mark of 109 means Lah Ti Dar is the highest rated in the line-up and has 3lb and upwards in hand on her rivals.

Lah Ti Dar also has bags of untapped potential and, given that she already looks a group performer in the making, this a nice stepping stone for her to complete the hat-trick en route to much greater things. She therefore looks impossible to oppose and had to be the main selection in our 2018 Galtres Stakes betting tips.Alwaysandforever a key contender for CumaniNewmarket trainer Luca Cumani has won the Galtres Stakes a record eight times. His sole representative in this year’s renewal is Alwaysandforever and she has a good record under Ryan Moore, as well as a progressive profile, so rates the main danger to Lah Ti Dar.

The four-year-old has won two of her seven starts and was partnered by Moore in both. He has also finished runner-up on her on a couple of other occasions.  In the last of those successes, the daughter of Teofilio made a mockery of her handicap mark when scoring by nine lengths at Windsor back in May.

Connections had little option but to to pitch Alwaysandforver into Listed company following an 11lb hike in the weights, and she ran very well when beaten just a short-head by Isabel De Urbina at Pontefract. She has since run with credit in two similar grade affairs at Newmarket, finishing a fine 1 1/2 lengths runner-up to Crimson Rosette last time out.

This does demand more, and as a four-year-old she has to give 5lb to the younger Lah Ti Dar, but Alwaysandforever is a tough and consistent sort, so looks the one most like to take advantage should the main selection fail to live up to expectations. What A Home odds appeal each-way Trainer William Haggas has won two of the last five runnings. He saddles Snow Wind and What A Home this time around. Both have chances, but slight preference is for the latter who is more experienced and has some solid form in the book.

The four-year-old ran very well in the Group 3 Pinnacle Stakes two starts back at Haydock when staying on strongly to be beaten just 1 1/2 lengths into third by God Given. What A Home finished just a length behind runner-up Crimson Rosette; so, on a line through that one, is very closely matched with Alwaysandforever.

What A Home also ran well last time out when third in a Listed contest in France and has a good record over the trip, having won twice and been placed twice in five starts over it. Haggas also has his team in fine form and it’s interesting that he now fits What a Home with the cheepieces for the first time.

If they have the desired effect, then the daughter of Lope De Vega won’t have to find too much to make her presence felt in this. What A Home thus features as the each-way punt to consider in our 2018 Galtres Stakes getting tips.Your Next Bet
