Is Boylesports Reliable & Secure?
“Is Boylesports reliable?”. This is a frequently asked question that is easy to answer. Without doubt, Boylesports is reliable and safe to use. They are licensed and registered with the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner, as well as the UK Gambling Commission. With these strict regulations in place, you can wholeheartedly trust Boylesports with your deposits and bets.
If you needed more convincing, Boylesports has been operating since 1982 and has become a stalwart in the industry of bookmaking.
Boylesports: Pros & Cons
- Almost 40 years experience
- Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker
- A number of benefits, including a rewards program and free bets
- Wide variety of sports and games to bet on, including horse racing and American Football
- May not be as well-known outside the UK
Most bookmakers have similar offers to entice new customers and keep current ones. Boylesports is no different, with a variety of free bets, prize draws and a rewards program (more on this below). In this section, we’re going to take a closer look at their betting offers.
Each part of the Boylesport US site (Sports, Casino and Poker) has its specific promotions.
Boylesports US’s biggest draw is the Free Bets promotion. These are bonuses that you can use to place a bet in part, or in full, up to the total value of the free bet bonus you have been awarded.
BoyleCasino’s equivalent is Free Spins. This is a set number of spins on a slot machine where you don’t have to pay to spin.
BoylePoker offers a 200% signup bonus to a maximum of $1,000. Players earn the bonus in $10 increments.
Using the mobile app will allow you to access all the standard features and services you’re accustomed to via a desktop. The big difference is, you’ll be able to do so conveniently, wherever you might find yourself. The actual app is aesthetically appealing. The design is attractive and you’ll find it easy to navigate. Due to Boylesports being a smaller operator in terms of popularity, you’ll fond some great odds and prices being advertised for betting. The android app has a very good casino section. There are daily and weekly promotions for mobile app users.
How to open an account
Opening an account on the Boylesports site is entirely free and very quick. Members then have access to an account panel – this is where you can do everything from setting your deposit level, to choosing a payment method.
Step 1: Click on the “join now” button which is located in the top right corner of the website. You’ll be required to add your email and a password.
Step 2: You now need to fill in your personal details.
Step 3: Lastly, you are required to provide a number which is linked to your account. You’ll receive a verification pin. Fill in the pin and your account will be activated.
The overall design features the red, white and blue of the Boylesports US logo and is easy on the eyes. Extra games and sections can be found along the top of the page and down the right side. Promotions can be accessed via the left side or bottom of the page and have ‘opt-in’ buttons, so you can easily track which ones have already been redeemed.
Boylesports US has many different methods available for deposit and withdrawal, including credit/debit card, bank transfers, and online.
Boylesports accepts all major cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Switch, Laser and Delta.
Bank transfers usually take between 3 – 5 days, and allow you to deposit directly to one of Boylesports bank accounts located in your country of registration.
There are also multiple online payment options: Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard, GooglePay, and of course, Paypal are all covered, although some may not be available in all countries.
Boylesports does not charge any fees for using any of these services, although you should check with the provider/your bank in case they impose any hidden charges.
Boylesports US also endeavors to process all deposit/withdrawal requests within 24 hours, with any withdrawals becoming available within 3 – 5 days. Deposits made using any of the cards or online methods appear in your account straight away.
Boylesports takes gambling seriously, and as such, there are several options open to punters in order to help them bet responsibly. The biggest and best choice is the ability to set deposit limits in Daily, Weekly or Monthly increments. Changes made to increase these settings take 24 hours to process. However, decreasing a deposit limit takes effect immediately.
These are all excellent options, but our recommendation would go with Paypal, given that it has a wide array of safeguards in place for anyone who uses it.

We appreciate any company that makes it as easy as possible to get in touch, and Boylesports US is no different.
The website’s ‘Contact Us’ link opens a pop-up with a few standard links, including: live chat, email and three different free-phone numbers (for Ireland, the UK, and the rest of the world). There’s also a Help Centre that features the top five FAQs and quick links to various topics. The entire site and support is in English, plus an Accessibility option exists for those with vision impairments.
Customer Service representatives can be reached 24/7, and although there is a VIP loyalty scheme, this doesn’t offer any additional support options. Overall, Boylesports appears to have all its bases covered and the transparency of information is commendable. This solidifies the answer to the question “is Boylesports secure?”
For those still asking themselves is Boylesports reliable, and is Boylesports secure? You can rest assured that this operator is regulated and licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, and by the Government of Gibraltar/Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner. Boylesports also regularly monitors account activity to prevent money-laundering, and all transactions are protected by the relevant service a customer uses.
Despite scoring highly overall in our Boylesports ratings, we have to acknowledge there’s currently no online-only rewards scheme in place. Boylesports US does, however, offer BoyleXtra from retail outlets.
BoyleXtra is a loyalty card that can be used to accumulate points with every bet made in-store and online. Accumulating 200 points earns a punter a ticket in the weekly and monthly prize draws, for example. BoyleXtra has a variety of other benefits, no matter which sport or game you prefer.
Horse racing or soccer your sport of choice? Gain access to exclusive money-back offers every day! We particularly like how the BoyleXtra card can be used to withdraw and deposit money in-store without needing to use a bank card.
There are also various rewards for simply playing games online. With BoyleCasino, every bet equals 1 Comp Point. Any points accumulated can then be converted into real cash. The more Comp Points earned, the more cash you can redeem.
Boylesports Sports Betting
In terms of Boylesports ratings, we have to acknowledge there is an astonishing variety of sports available. Horse racing is undoubtedly a focus, as once you select it from the drop-down menu you’re presented with UK/Ireland races, Racing Specials, International Racing, US Racing, Australian horse races, Virtual Racing and Future Races.
These markets are then broken down into the actual events (for example, Leopardstwon in UK/Ireland races) as well as Daily Specials. Results are displayed in easy-to-read charts in the centre of the page, along with any promotions or offers (such as ‘Free Bet if 2nd to the SP Fav).
Overall, more than 34 sports and activities can be bet on, including alternatives to horse racing such as Soccer, American Football, Golf, Basketball, Boxing, Ice Hockey. Most of these also include different types. For example, American Football caters not just to NFL matches, but College Football too.
When it comes to Boylesports reviews, simply put: Whatever gambling itch a punter has, they’ll be sure to scratch it with Boylesports US!
Odds can be displayed as either Fractional, Decimal or American style, so that it’s possible to understand the odds offered quickly. Different odds offers relevant to each sport are listed with that sport. There’s also a Bet Calculator, which can be used to show the odds associated with Single, Patent, Double, Yankee, Treble, Lucky 15, Fourfold, Lucky 31, Accumulator, Heinz and Trixie bets (as well as clear, concise definitions of these types of bets).
Live Betting & Streaming
The Boylesports Livecenter places usability first and foremost. We were pleased that, on the site, it’s placed clearly on the right side and highlighted with a flashing red ‘Live Now’ spot. We can see how many events are currently live and what types of sports. Each game then has more info associated with it.
For example, Soccer was a match from the English Premier League (Arsenal vs. Manchester United) and displayed the time remaining in the match, current score and which part was being played (2nd Half). Possible bet options can be found under this information, and in order to prevent last-minute gambling the options are marked as ‘suspended’.
Boylesports US also offers upcoming events through their Livecenter. Clicking on ‘Upcoming’ reveals the next ten events, as well as the associated sports. Each event displays whether odds are available and how many markets are involved. Choosing an event then shows the various odds and any relevant offers/promotions.
Placing a bet is carried out via the Betslip widget on the right side of the page. This details the Selection, Stake and Odds, as well as Total Stake and Potential Winnings. Bets are instantaneous and, as mentioned above, the only limit is whatever the punter sets for themselves.
We find the BoyleSport section of the site frankly a little overwhelming, so much so that option paralysis almost kicks in. The choice of sports is incredible, but the initial impression is of confusion, given that all the information is plastered across the majority of the page. It takes a little while to parse it all, but once we got the hang of it we found the site offers attractive promotions and makes betting as easy as possible.
Clicking My Account allows money to be deposited and winnings withdrawn quickly. Open Bets clearly labels Date, Bet Reference, Event / Market, Selection, Handicap, Bet Type, Odds, Total Stake, Return, Leg Status and Result. The Bet Calculator lets you enter your Stake, and then calculates the Return based on a variety of factors, from whether the horse/team/player wins, loses or places.
Overall, in regards to Boylesports reviews and Boylesports ratings, BoyleSport is a robust and detailed experience we would happily recommend to any punter, whether they’re a serious gambler or just like to dabble.
Many bookmakers these days now offer online games, and Boylesports US is no different. Back in 2012, Boylesports partnered with Net Entertainment (Netent) to provide the best online experience it could; Netent is one of the leading distributors of online games, so quality is all but assured.
Boylesports ratings overall have also benefited from them partnering with Ash Gaming, Elk Studios, Evolution Gaming, Microgaming, NextGen Gaming, OpenBet, Playtech, Rabcat, Realistic Games and WMS Gaming. Hence, it’s no wonder the selection is so comprehensive and Boylesports reviews tend to focus on this choice.
As with BoyleSports, BoyleCasino has a staggering number of games available (over 250!). Choices range from Slots to Jackpot games and ones featuring a Live Dealer. Games can be sorted by Our Pick, and A-Z, with the top featured games including multiple variations of Roulette, Blackjack and Slots (from 5 reel, 20 pay line to 5 reel, 30 pay line).
Out of the available slots, a few cater to horse racing fans. Inspired by Irish champion jockey legend Tony ‘AP’ McCoy, take on the McCoy slot for your chance to win one of three jackpots. Another sporting legend, Frankie Detorri, also gets six of his own slots (including Sporting Legends, Magic Seven Jackpot and Roulette), complete with Daily, Weekly and Mega Jackpots. Alternatively, relive the glory of Royal Ascot with the 5 reel, 25 line Ascot slot.
Other popular titles include:
- Penny Roulette
- Gladiator Jackpot
- Live Blackjack
- Premium European Roulette
- Blue Wizard
- Eternal Lady
- Justice League Comics
A large number of available games are either movie tie-ins or based on DC comic characters/movies. All games, whether they’re live or slot, feature impressive production values and, interestingly, an accompanying RTP (Return To Player) percentage.
This is a theoretical figure for each game that allows the player to make an objective judgment about their chances of winning before actually paying for a go. These vary from game to game, but are typically listed in the high 90s. In other words, you’re almost sure to win something.
Twelve games feature a live dealer. These are:
- Quantuum Roulette
- American Roulette
- Live Hi-Lo
- Dragon Jackpot Baccarat
- Live Football Roulette
- Spin a Win Live
- Age of the Gods Roulette
- Live Blackjack
- Live Hold ‘Em
- Live Baccarat
- Live Roulette
- 3 Card Brag Live
All the games are hosted by a professional dealer and are live 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We like that all the games feature a strong social element as it’s possible to chat and interact with the dealer during the game. It’s also possible to receive a notification when your favorite dealer’s available!
Although there aren’t that many live games, the variety is still good. We like that there are a few different versions of the classics, and a few games even offer different rules within the same app.
For example, 3 Card Brag is said to be one of the most accessible card games around, and the BoyleCasino version contains two versions: one is against the live dealer, in which the player has to have a better hand in order to win, and there’s also a side game not against the dealer.
As with the non-live games, the Live Dealer options all carry a theoretical Return To Player value, with 3 Card Brag’s RTP adding to the notion it’s remarkably easy to win: the RTP is 97.86% – 98.00%!
Given that the live casino games are online, Boylesports US doesn’t impose a traditional player limit. When we checked the live games on offer, Live Football French Roulette had two players, Quantum Roulette Live had 488 and Spin A Win had 128.
Boylesports US started BoyleCasino back in 2007 and has gone from strength to strength, as shown by the choice and quality of the available games. Boylesport US also offers BoyleCasino as an app, which grants access to an even larger number of games.
For some, the variety could be seen as thin on the ground, given that many of the games follow similar mechanics – but this is almost a moot point because the production values at least offer a sizable cosmetic change, and Return To Player values mean the financial payback varies greatly too.
Looking at the main site, navigation versus content is also a little confusing. The main page shows a Casino tab populated with Premium Roulette, Premium Blackjack, Live Blackjack, Live Roulette, Frankie Dettori Sporting Legends, AP McCoy Sporting Legends, God of Storms and Buffalo Blitz. It’s not apparent if these are the supposed top games, or even entirely what some of them are – after digging around under the separate Casino tab at the top of the page, we discovered the Sporting Legends tag refers to a Jackpot, which itself is either daily, weekly or mega depending on the game.
Whether BoyleCasino ranks highly in Boylesports ratings relies entirely on what you want. If you enjoy playing slot machines, the choice is incredible, and the potential to win is very favorable. We do like the functionality of the live games, which feature multiple camera angles (on the BoyleCasino app) to feel more immersive. The navigation and sheer number of similar games is something we’re not too keen on, however, as it causes confusion and works against the site’s otherwise excellent level of information transparency.
Now onto Boylesports reviews: the Poker option. Right from the start, Boylesports US Boylesports Poker distinguishes itself differently from the vanilla Sports and Casino options as the website is cleanly organized and super easy to navigate.
The software used to provide the Poker service appears to be proprietary and is called BoyleSports Home. It can be downloaded to a laptop (or as a mobile app) and acts as a hub for various games and ‘missions’ (more on these below).
Once downloaded, the BoyleSports Poker software takes up less than 400MB of disk space. Once we signed in, we were able to quickly check out the latest promotions and see a list of recently played games. It acts as a hub not dissimilar to many other game-focused companies, given that all the relevant information is displayed and easy to find, including a current player base totaling over 2000.
The main thing that Boylesports US appears to value the highest is choice, as once again, the selection of games is superb.
Six Plus Hold ‘Em uses a reduced card deck. A typical card deck in Texas Hold’em has 52 cards, but this variant removes all cards with ranks from 2 to 5, leaving 36 cards in the deck. The lowest card is a six and the highest is still the Ace. Reducing the number of cards guarantees more action and excitement, with bigger pots available at the tables.
Twister Poker Sit ‘N’ Go features a variable prize pool. As soon as three players have registered, a random prize pool of up to 1,000 times a player’s buy-in will be assigned to the tournament, so that it’s possible to win a share of €100,000 in a matter of minutes.
Speed Poker is our favorite option, as it lets players join a large pool and face different opponents every hand. However, players don’t stick around after they fold; the moment you fold a hand you move to another table and instantaneously start a new hand! With this variant, it’s possible to play up to 4 times more hands per hour. Speed Poker is currently available in Omaha and No-Limit Hold’em formats.
Linked to games are Missions. These are daily and weekly bonus goals with their rewards and encourage different play styles.
In real life poker, The House (in other words, the casino/business) earns its money by retaining a small portion of the money bet by players. This is known as ‘the rake’, and with Boylesports Poker, the amount Boylesports US keeps, depends on the table stakes and number of players.
The good news is, Boylesports Poker offers a VIP Club with rakeback bonuses. The better news is that every player is automatically a member once they join! Generally speaking, VIP Club Status Points are accumulated at a rate of 30 for every €1, 34 points for every £1 and 26 points for every $1 of attributed tournament or rake fees. Every player starts at the Bronze level, which carries a 10% rakeback bonus. Should a player reach Platinum level, they get a whopping 30% rakeback.
When we last checked the Tournament tab of the Boylesports Poker app, there were over 100 tournaments listed, although some were upcoming events. All are online, but the games vary between Hold ‘Em and Omaha, with different players and pot limits. All tournaments list the start time/date, ruleset, game type, buy-in amount and number of current players, with a range of filters making it easier to find a preferred tournament.
Interestingly, there is also a Progressive Knockout associated with the tournaments. Players can buy-in (so it’s optional), and every time they knock a player out of a game, they gain that player’s bounty (cash) level (thereby increasing their potential prize pot at the end, but also acting as an incentive for other players to try and KO them!).
There are also several additional tournament types listed on the site, including Twister Poker, Age of Gods and Wild Twister, but at the time of writing these weren’t available via the software.
When it comes to limits, Boylesports US puts a lot of trust in the player. Table sizes can vary from 2 players to more than 7; buy-in amounts can be anything from €0.50 to over €30.
If you’re asking us for Boylesports reviews and Boylesports ratings, both of the highest marks have to go to this. Out of all the betting options Boylesports US offers, the most attractive to us is undoubtedly Boylesports Poker. For some, having to download specific software may be a turn-off and the “gamification” encouraged by Missions may be seen as a questionable way to suck in more players. However, we see these as Boylesports Poker moving with the times and embracing the fact that many people now use downloadable clients to gain access to a service (for example: Steam, Epic, other actual game companies).
Choice is also once again key, but this time the sheer number of options available is limited to tournaments and game customization (the buy-in mentioned above and player table limits), which makes the service easier to navigate. The software is also easy to download, install and use; it took us a maximum of three minutes before we were browsing for games.
We also admire the information transparency of the main Boylesports Poker website: drop-down options detail everything from House Rules to Payment Methods to Promotions.
When it comes to Boylesports ratings and Boylesports reviews, overall, Boylesports US is worth trying. Whether you’re a horse racing fan or looking to stake a bet on something else, we like the sheer amount of choice available within each section (Boylesport, Casino and Poker) even if that choice can often be overwhelming.
Something we haven’t fully mentioned that we admire the most is how serious Boylesports US takes the wellbeing of punters. This is evident in how easy it is to set deposit limits, exclude yourself from certain areas of the site for a period of time, and multiple links to responsible gambling (it’s even a tab on your account page).
However, in terms of being a modern bookmaker, our vote would have to go to Boylesport Poker as the primary option to try. Everything about it feels sleek and focus-tested; we suspect extra effort has gone into this part of the site as online poker has become a lot more popular in recent years.
