Watch and Wager Reviews & Ratings US 2020
Is Watch and Wager Reliable & Secure?
Watch and Wager US is a prime example of what is commonly known as an Advanced Deposit Wagering (ADW) service.
Anyone based in the United States can sign up for a free account to wager on a variety of horse (and greyhound) races held at tracks across the globe. From thoroughbred to harness and quarter horse, there are race types to suit all betting tastes. Watch and Wager US also offer race replays and live-streaming as part of their service.
If you’re like us and asking yourself “is Watch and Wager secure?”, the answer is a definite yes. Our Watch and Wager reviews will dive a little deeper to prove it. Watch and Wager treats all accounts and personal information as strictly confidential, as well as using website encryption tools to make sure customer information is safe.
In our reviews, we like to break down every aspect that makes up a betting provider. By the end, we’ll sum up our Watch and Wager ratings for you. Next up in our Watch and Wager reviews, we’ll provide a summary of the most important features of the operator.
Watch and Wager: Pros & Cons
- Fully licensed and regulated
- No joining fee
- Watch and Wager US can be accessed on all mobile and desktop devices
- Good choice of rewards and promotions
- Only residents of the United States can use Watch and Wager US
Many horse racing sites offer welcome and bonus bets to entice and keep customers. Although Watch and Wager US is no different, we did find the variety of offers by Watch and Wager very impressive.
Watch and Wager US offer up to $150 as a generous sign-up bonus for all new members. This sizable offer positively impacted our Watch and Wager ratings.
There’s also a 25% deposit bonus active every Wednesday; for example, wager $40 and get a $10 bonus! In terms of cash bonuses, there’s a weekly 3-2-1 promotion and a chance to claim $50 every time a friend’s referred to Watch and Wager.
For those interested in harness racing, Watch and Wager offers a Cal Expo promotion every Saturday. Lastly, if a player wagers $5000 or more every month, they get the chance to join the Watch and Wager Premier Rewards Program. This steep threshold took its toll on our Watch and Wager ratings.
The first thing that greeted us on the Watch and Wager US site is the wide choice of offers and promotions. Displayed as huge attention-grabbing images, these can be switched between via arrows on the left and right. The site practically screams racetrack.
We soon found the right promotion for us, and we’re sure you will too.
The header of the site clearly displays links to the various sections, including Wager Now, Results, Tracks, News, FAQs, Help, Rewards, Blog, and Contests. The footer also links to parts of the Watch and Wager US site, including Cal Expo and Breeders Cup.
A “Join Now” button in both the header and footer invite you to sign-up and start wagering.
The color scheme is a classic gray/black/red/white combination, with all information laid out so that it’s easy to find what you want. Pleasingly, the Watch and Wager US site loads very quickly, so we could start betting right away.If you’re looking for an alternative, try our Xpressbet Review.
Watch and Wager US has an impressive number of ways to deposit and withdraw cash to a Watch and Wager account. Most of the deposit options seem similar to those offered by BetOnline.ag and other horse betting sites. Options include VISA or MasterCard credit/debit cards, cash (PayNearMe), Wagercash (ACH), and WatchandWager Play+.
Using a card incurs a 3.25% fee, plus any additional bank charges. We recommend checking with your bank to avoid being hit with hidden fees.
PayNearMe lets customers deposit to their online account using real cash. Log in to your Watch and Wager US account and click the Cash option. Enter your zip code into the PayNearMe box and then select a convenient location.
Watch and Wager US then provide you with a code, which you take to the location, show to the cashier, and they’ll handle the rest. Suitable areas include 7-Eleven, Family Dollar, and CVS. PayNearMe has no fees.
WagerCash (also known as an ACH transfer) lets you transfer money directly from your bank account to your Watch and Wager US account. There are no fees for this service, either.
Play+ can be used anywhere Discover cards are accepted. Bear in mind, there’s a 2.95% fee if you fund your Play+ account using a Debit/Credit card or eCheck. However, it is free to transfer funds to WatchandWager from Play+.
We wondered about the minimum and maximum deposit amounts and found out the following:
- Credit/Debit Card: $25 minimum.
- PayNearMe: $5 minimum.
- WagerCash: $25 minimum.
- Play+: $10 minimum.
No matter which option a player chooses, each has a maximum daily deposit limit of $500. This rather low limit negatively impacted our Watch and Wager ratings. However, high-rollers can contact Watch and Wager US directly to request a higher restriction.
If you’re like us and wondering how Watch and Wager reviews rate their customer service highly, then wonder no more. Support is easy to find and access from the main page, with multiple options available.
These include email, phone, post, and live chat services. The online help options are handled during customer service hours, which run daily from 12 pm – 8 pm EST.
There is also a convenient FAQ should you have any extra queries. What we found to be a nice touch, that many similar operators don’t usually focus on, is technical support.
Watch and Wager US has a couple of sections devoted to system requirements so that we could make sure our computers and mobile devices were capable of accessing all the Watch and Wager US options.
The search function that does exist is site-wide rather than FAQ specific, which is a little frustrating. Although Watch and Wager US offers a VIP Premier Program, information about it is hidden behind a telephone number and email address.
Lastly, withdrawals should appear in an account within 24 hours, which is a reasonable time limit, in our opinion. If you wager on horses with this operator, you won’t struggle to find service.
When we took a closer look at Watch and Wager ratings, we found that the service is licensed and regulated by the North Dakota Racing Commission. Watch and Wager US is also a subsidiary of Webis Holding, a company specializing in horse racing businesses.
Watch and Wager US is also licensed by the California Horse Racing Board for the operation of harness races at the Cal Expo racetrack, located in Sacramento, California.
While examining the terms and conditions, our Watch and Wager reviews couldn’t find any mention of typical online safety measures such as SSL or Verisign. This did not help our Watch and Wager ratings.
However, Watch and Wager US do make it clear that valuable account information is protected by various security checks, including the need to provide personal information as and when required by the site.
This extends to opening an account and age verification. Players must be at least 21 years old to bet on horses with Watch and Wager US, and agree to have their information verified by a third party.
Even though Watch and Wager US offer a loyalty program in the form of Premier Rewards, we have to dock a few points off our Watch and Wager ratings because all information related to this is only accessible via a phone call/email.
However, our Watch and Wager reviews did determine that the program is only open to players who wager at least $5000 a month. It’s a fairly high requirement compared to competitors.
More enticing and suitable for punters of all levels is the sign-up bonus. Simply deposit either $25, $50, $100 or $150 and input a relevant promo code to receive the same amount! This offer is only open to new players, but it’s a great way to encourage horse betting.
The match amount deposit appears as bonus credit and can be used for a variety of races on Watch and Wager US.
Also of interest is the weekly 3-2-1 bonus. It works like this:
- 3% cash back on select greyhound tracks
- 2% cash back on select harness tracks
- 1% cash back on select thoroughbred tracks
And best of all: this offer has no payout limit! That’s a very appealing addendum, which did wonders for our Watch and Wager ratings.
Watch and Wager also offer a special Wednesday promotion, wherein players who deposit between $5 and $40 get 25% extra of their bet. Lastly, there’s a Cal Expo specific offer on Saturdays, in which players who make a $5.00 WIN wager can get their stake refunded if they lose. Handy!
Watch and wager Sports Betting
As to the actual Watch and Wager betting experience, we can happily report that the number of betting markets available is quite substantial. Just like NYRA Bets, and other horse-centred betting sites, the variety is restricted to horses and greyhounds though.
Clicking Wager Now brings up a table with the currently featured race. This contains the runner details, morning line odds, current odds, $1 win pay, and $1 average place pay details. Above this is listed the track name, race number, type (e.g. thoroughbred), pools, and stake options.
All this information can be changed as quickly as switching the featured track. A handy headline next to the featured track option lists upcoming races, giving punters a reasonable choice.
Alternatively, punters can select Tracks from the menu, which lists all available tracks (for horse and greyhound racing) by their type (e.g. thoroughbred, harness) and country. For example, select Australia Harness racetracks, and this brings up any current or upcoming races. Watch and Wager has an edge over sites like SportsBetting.ag and Bovada that only have limited greyhound racing options.
As well as having the various odds listed with each runner for each race, Watch and Wager US also provide a data tracker. This can be set to Odds, Pool Distribution, Exacta Chart and Grid, Daily Double Chart and Grid, Quinella Grid, and Form Comparison. This is undoubtedly a handy tool for the more serious punters out there.
Live Betting & Streaming
Watch and Wager offers live race streaming and replays, although at the time of writing, we were unable to access this so our Watch and Wager ratings can’t take this aspect of the site into account. However, we do know that whatever live-streaming there is, it applies exclusively to horse racing.
The lack of sports streaming capabilities doesn’t help our Watch and Wager ratings one bit. Still, plenty of live betting action is available at Watch and Wager. Deep in-play betting markets allow players a vast range of options for betting on ongoing events. Head over to our BetOnline AG Review for more, great sportsbook offers.
Every reputable bookmaker online will feature wagering limits on their sites. Wagering limits help bookies stay afloat. Otherwise, a well-placed wager could easily bankrupt even the most trustworthy operators. In order to keep the books balanced, operators need to limit how much players can wager on a given outcome.
At Watch and Wager, limits aren’t set in an absolute way, though. The bookmaker handles limits in a dynamic way, shifting them as needed depending on betting action. For instance, if a race has a lot of players betting on one selection, that selection’s limit will be lowered. On the other hand, selections with very little wagering behind them will see their limits rise.
The interface at Watch and Wager will reject stake inputs above the current limit for the market in question.
The Watch and Wager site has a lot going for it. It’s clearly presented, with plenty of relevant information for the vast array of races available. There’s a results page for those punters who want to check a race they missed, or compare statistics across races/runners.
Every page has a rolling headline banner, which can be clicked to open up a racing news item. Usually, this is about a significant name stake, complete with detailed information, including history and wagering.
We haven’t even mentioned the Contests yet, either. Simply join the site, pick a horse in each race, and see if your winnings mount up! Player testimonials are quick to point out the range of available tournaments, as well as how it’s suited to veteran punters as much as beginners.
A definite strength that adds a big fat plus point to our Watch and Wager reviews and ratings is the sheer wealth of choice. Whatever type of horse race you’re after, you’re sure to find it on Watch and Wager.
Some people might say the small selection of deposit options is a weakness, but we beg to differ. It is curious Watch and Wager isn’t linked with PayPal, or Neteller, as many of their competitors are. However, the abundant payment options available anyhow keep this from affecting our Watch and Wager ratings much.
Watch and wager Casino
Whenever someone talks about gambling, our minds always go to one place. Casinos. They harbor the finest forms of gambling known to man, in a luxurious, lavish environment. Since their inception, casinos have slowly gone from sinful establishments to accepted, mainstream entertainment venues.
Online casino gambling has changed the face of the game forever. No longer are casinos limited to the lofty buildings and landmark locations they traditionally occupied. Now, anyone can load up an online casino on their phone or laptop, wherever they might be.
Online casinos open 24/7, have lower overhead and expenses, and far less complex regulations. This makes opening an online casino a no-brainer for most gambling outfits. It’s a permanent source of steady revenues. That’s why countless operators now offer online casino services.
Not Watch and Wager, though. Our Watch and Wager reviews were unable to find any semblance of a Casino. This shortcoming gravely impacted our Watch and Wager ratings.
An offline casino’s calling card is its imposing structure. They’re massive edifices that denote class and luxury. Online casinos have no such thing. The only equivalent is the software. Online casinos are built on software, and that software is developed by someone.
The most reputable casino gaming developers provide games to most of the world’s largest online casinos. Renowned developers such as IGT, WMS, or NetEnt, typically only do business with legitimate, licensed operators. That’s why seeing their names puts gamblers’ minds at ease.
However, as our Watch and Wager reviews found no Casino section to speak of, there is no software to examine.
The game portfolio of an online casino is one of the most crucial aspects of the whole operation. The broader the portfolio, the more mass appeal it carries. That means more players, more wagering, and more revenue. Online casinos compete to have the most impressive selections of casino games and slots.
Typical games available include blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps, pai gow, and sic bo. Many variations of these games are often on the roster. That said, you won’t find any of these games at Watch and Wager. The operator is uniquely focused on horse racing, with no Casino section whatsoever.
Many casino gamblers have never successfully made the switch to online gaming. There’s something missing from a video simulation of their favorite casino games, something they can’t do without. That’s why Live Casinos were introduced.
Live Casinos combine the best of both worlds. The convenience of online casinos, and the thrill of gambling on a real game, with a real casino dealer. Live tables are, accordingly, extremely popular online. Nevertheless, as Watch and Wager has no Casino section, you won’t find a Live Casino here.
Much like bookmaker wagers, casino gambling is usually limited by wagering restrictions. Operators normally impose specific limits on every table and every slot machine. These keep player payouts in check, as they scale along with bet sizes.
However, as mentioned earlier in our Watch and Wager reviews, this operator has no Casino section. Therefore, there are no casino games or slots to speak of, and no applicable limits.
Watch and Wager is a fully-functional, modern and enticing horse racing betting operator. Unlike many other such operators, though, Watch and Wager is highly specialized. It exclusively offers greyhound and horse racing action.
That means that players seeking a friendly casino website to try their luck won’t find any opportunities to do so at Watch and Wager. It’s unclear whether Watch and Wager will offer casino gambling in the future, but there’s nothing to indicate so at the moment.
If it’s casino gambling that you’re after, you’re probably better off trying with other providers. Of course, this negatively impacts our Watch and Wager ratings. Try our TLCBet Review for another reputable online casino.
Watch and wager Poker
Up next in our Watch and Wager reviews, we’ll be talking about poker. Poker is one of the most complex games on the planet. A unique combination of luck and skill makes poker the ultimate form of gambling. Poker has become increasingly popular since the 2000s, and today, it’s a staple with many gambling operators.
However, our Watch and Wager reviews found no poker options available. To be clear, many operators don’t offer poker services either. US-based online poker is a bit of a tricky situation, in terms of licensing. This keeps many operators from venturing into online poker.
That being said, operators who forgo a poker room typically do something to make up for it. For example, they offer attractive video poker games to have something to offer to keen card players. Not Watch and Wager, though. Since there isn’t even a Casino section, you won’t be able to play any video poker here, either.
It’s unclear whether Watch and Wager will ever rectify this oversight, though. The operator seems intent on specialization, with fairly impressive horse race betting features, coverage, streaming, and markets. Nevertheless, should it decide to change course and add a Poker section, our Watch and Wager reviews will be the first to let you know.
Our Watch and Wager reviews found the operator be a full-featured horse racing betting parlor. If you’re a fan of the hounds or the ponies, Watch and Wager will be your new best friend. However, if you’re instead a poker fan, you’re straight out of luck here.
Watch and Wager doesn’t offer any kind of poker gambling. That means no cash games, no tournaments, and not even any video poker options. If it’s poker that you’re after, you’d better try your luck elsewhere.
Watch and Wager has a lot going for it and we were highly impressed throughout completing our Watch and Wager reviews. The website boasts a clean layout that makes information easy to access, and the choice of race tracks is brilliant. For those punters who fancy a change from horses every now and again, there are plenty of greyhound tracks to choose from, too.
The only real downsides we can think of are the lack of readily available information on the Premier Rewards Program and ease of access to live streams.
Watch and Wager ratings and reviews should also make mention of the promotions and offers. The choice isn’t the largest we’ve seen, but they’re gimmick-free and seem like something that would get constant use by serious punters.
Plus, the friend referral promo has no limit, which is a canny way to get us to encourage our friends to join in. Overall, we think that if you enjoy horse racing, Watch and Wager is worth a shot. On the other hand, if general sports betting, casino gambling or poker are your preferred forms of betting, Watch and Wager isn’t for you. Head over to our Sportingbet Review for another in-depth look at an alternative operator.
