Welcome to our Sugarhouse reviews US, where we’ll tell you everything you need to know about this online sportsbook and casino combo site. From the excellent welcome bonus to the amazing range of pro and college sports markets – we’ve covered it all.
We’ll be focussing on the two available US states – Sugarhouse New Jersey and Sugarhouse Pennsylvania. If you’re from one of these two US gambling hubs, then read on to find out what bonuses and rewards are available to you with Sugarhouse!
Is Sugarhouse legal in US when it comes to bonus offers? As long as you’re in the states of either PA or NJ, it most definitely is. Not only is the Sugarhouse bonus legit and above board – it’s one of the best new customers offers in the land!
One of the excellent things about Sugarhouse is the continuity of their bonuses between the PA and NJ versions of the site. Players from both available states can enjoy a number of sports wagering and casino bonuses. None of them though, are able to top the awesome matched deposit welcome offer.
If you sign up to Sugarhouse Pennsylvania today and enter the code “250MATCH” you can claim a 100% matched deposit of up to $250. New Jersey residents should enter bonus code ‘BONUSGUY’ How does that sound?
If you deposit $25, you get a free $25 bonus. Deposit $50 you get a $50 bonus. Deposit $250…you get the gist, right?
Probably the coolest thing about the Sugarhouse welcome offer is how flexible the terms and conditions are. Most bonuses on combo betting sites can be used either in the casino or the sportsbook. Not with Sugarhouse – they let you play through your matched deposit bonus on a mix of sports wagers and casino games!
The rollover requirement is also extremely generous at just x1 and the minimum deposit required to claim the offer is a low $10. There is a time limit though, so just remember to make your qualifying deposit within 48 hours of entering that bonus code.

The Sugarhouse online branding pretty much directly mirrors the colors and overall look of their land-based casinos in PA. Therefore some of you reading might feel instantly familiar with the site. Even if you’re totally new to the Sugarhouse brand, you’ll soon feel totally at ease.
The website is extremely well-designed, cleverly laid out and is easy to navigate for gamblers of all experience levels. In fact, we go as far as to say that even a first-time internet user could find their way around here!
The sportsbook prices all available markets and information in a neat way with clear font, and the light blue and white color scheme helps make it easy on the eye. Promotions, payment information and the help center are always on hand in the top search bar.
Likewise, the casino is ultra-neat and easy to get around. Finding the games you want to play is made easy through the intelligent filtered search system. If we had one criticism to dig out here, it’s just that the casino side of the site perhaps looks a little bit bare and simple compared to the sportsbook. We definitely wouldn’t let that put you off though!
As well as the fantastic desktop platform, Sugarhouse also offers you the ability to place mobile sports wagers and play their casino games. You can do this via the downloadable app or via the mobile-optimized version of the site. For Android users, the app is downloadable directly from the website, as Google Play doesn’t allow money gaming apps within its store.
Is Sugarhouse legal in US to play with real money? As we mentioned above, it most certainly is in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Below, you can find details of how to make your deposits and, perhaps more importantly, withdraw any winnings you make off the back of your wagers with Sugarhouse.
When it comes to making deposits, you have six options with Sugarhouse; credit/debit card, online banking, PayPal, Sugarhouse Play+ card and two cash options. When it comes to cash payments, you can either fund your online account directly at the cage in the land-based casino in Pennsylvania or via PayNearMe. PayNearMe allows you to deposit up to $500 into your Sugarhouse account in cash at your local 7-Eleven anywhere in NJ or PA. All deposit methods online should be processed instantly and are free of any fees from Sugarhouse’s end.
As part of the Sugarhouse terms and conditions, you’re able to request to withdraw your cash balance at any time. You can either make withdrawals via ACH/eCheck, Sugarhouse Play+ card, check by mail or in cash at the casino cage. If you have the option available to you, then withdrawing directly in cash is the fastest option. Play+ is the fastest online method and check by mail is naturally the slowest.
You can contact the Sugarhouse customer service team is available via either the live chat service or email. In addition to that, you can also use the help center to find detailed information and answers to the most basic questions related to the sign-up process, banking and “is Sugarhouse legal in US?”.
The live chat service is pretty quick and efficient, though they do put you through a drop-down menu and bot before reaching a human customer service agent. The best way to get to them directly is to hit the “Contact US” button at the bottom of the live chat, which will take you to an email form. The email response time isn’t too bad and was helpful in our experience.
What we couldn’t find, disappointingly, was a toll-free customer service line for neither New Jersey nor Pennsylvania. The closest thing we found to phone contact was the number for the Sugarhouse River Casino in Pennsylvania. While not a dealbreaker, this was the first minor setback with our Sugarhouse ratings US.
Is Sugarhouse legal in US? Each US state has the choice of whether or not to legalize and regulate online gambling within its borders. Sugarhouse is licensed and regulated in the two main east coasts US gambling hubs of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. As such, it scores way higher than our Sportingbet, Grosvenor, and Totesport ratings in the US market.
In New Jersey, the NJDGE is responsible for the licensing and regulation of Sugarhouse’s gambling operations within the state. In Pennsylvania, it’s the PCGB that is responsible for the regulatory operations. In both of these states, the laws and regulators permit online sports wagering and casino playing within state borders. That means that adults aged 21 and over can place an online sports wager with Sugarhouse as long as they are physically inside the borders of the aforementioned states. You don’t have to be a PA or NJ resident to bet and play with Sugarhouse.
In terms of security, all transactions and online activities are encrypted using SSL and other forms of technology.
With Sugarhouse, players in both New Jersey and PA can benefit from the iRush Rewards program. The iRush Rewards program gets you both Loyalty Level Points and Bonus Store Points when you place real money wagers.
The more points you get, the further up the tiers you move – and ultimately the better the bonuses and potential rewards will get! Rewards can range from special online betting bonuses to luxury accommodation in the Sugarhouse brick and mortar casino resorts. There are 11 levels in total, with the first ten levels simply being numbered. The 11th and final tier is the Elite Level and is strictly invite only for the proper high rollers.
Overall, this is one of the best rewards programs we’ve seen of its kind and definitely bumped up our Sugarhouse ratings US a few notches. For the only other two VIP programs that can rival this one, check out our Borgata review and our bet365 review.
To summarize our Sugarhouse ratings US and why we think you’ll like this operator, we’d like to leave you with a few key points. Firstly, the welcome bonus is one of the best we’ve seen around and there are other bonuses available to players in both PA and NJ. Secondly, the overall look and feel of the sportsbook are fantastic. Lastly, the VIP program is perhaps one of the best we’ve seen. At the end of the day, there’s very little reason to fault Sugarhouse other than the fact its jurisdiction is limited to just New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
